“When I Say I Am A Christian“
When I say, “I am a Christian”
I’m not shouting, “I’ve been saved!”
I’m whispering, “I get lost!
That’s why I chose this way”When I say, “I am a Christian”
I don’t speak with human pride
I’m confessing that I stumble -
needing God to be my guideWhen I say, “I am a Christian”
I’m not trying to be strong
I’m professing that I’m weak
and pray for strength to carry onWhen I say, “I am a Christian”
I’m not bragging of success
I’m admitting that I’ve failed
and cannot ever pay the debtWhen I say, “I am a Christian”
I don’t think I know it all
I submit to my confusion
asking humbly to be taughtWhen I say, “I am a Christian”
I’m not claiming to be perfect
My flaws are far too visible
but God believes I’m worth itWhen I say, “I am a Christian”
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartache
which is why I seek His nameWhen I say, “I am a Christian”
I do not wish to judge
I have no authority
I only know I’m loved

Wow…you’ve drawn the real reflections of Christianity that I wish some of those who preach in its name could have the same view…
stay blessed&pass the flame
Just a few years ago, I found myself extremely prejudiced towards the church & Christianity in general. Its amazing how my perspective has changed as I’ve gone through hell in my personal life, and found a church that actually feeds my spirit.
The hope & love in Christianity are what separates it, and your right…this should be preached more. Thanks for your feedback!
Awesome indeed! I just may be a Christian, and not know it!
If you really look at what its all about, really focus on the teaching of Jesus…its a remarkably belief system. Only when “Man” gets involved does it become something that could drive anyone away! Thanks for your feedback!
Leave it to humans!
awesome thanks! I def think too its about jesus teachings and gods love for all of us not just a select few! thanks so much encouraging!
Thank YOU! Its amazing how often the principles Jesus taught can be misinterpreted by man, and cause confusion, prejudice, and resentment with so many!
