lifeaisle” is about navigating obstacles, maintaining focus, researching opportunities, achieving goals, and sharing and celebrating achievement. The idea of the name comes from navigating the ‘aisles‘ of life, ‘shopping‘ for what appeals to you, finding ‘deals’, and meticulously marking items off the ‘list‘.

This site is primarily about living life on life’s terms. It is written from my personal point of view, but my hope is to share experiences and lessons learned that may be useful to you.

In time, I will provide links to other interesting blogs, motivational sources – from who to follow on twitter, to youtube or TED videos, to scholarly articles of interest, and even good ‘ole fashioned websites.

This site is about:

  • adapting to a changing world;
  • a search for life’s simple messages on a daily basis;
  • striving for spiritual growth;
  • pursuing what you love;
  • recovery principles;

In addition to topics relating to the inner life, I am attempting a career change to adapt to a rapidly changing world. Through this process, I hope to:

  • Share the devotion and discipline required to gain the knowledge and skills to transition into a profitable career;
  • Provide valuable resources for increasing knowledge;
  • Teach as I learn – simple explanations to technical concepts;
  • Inspire you! I am trying to achieve goals, and I hope in doing so I can inspire you to do the same.

We live in a world where infinite knowledge is instantly accessible. The key to this is collaboration. If I learn something, I’ll share it with you.

  6. Thanks for “liking” my last post “Fee-Fi-Fo-Fee.” I’m very pleased to discover your blog, and I very much appreciate the words of wisdom you share. Congratulations on your recovery. I, too, am living in sobriety…going on six-something years now. It is a beautiful life, even when the going is rough, no? Take care of yourself, and keep writing!

  7. Thanks for checking out my blog! From the little bit of yours I perused, I could tell that you feel passionate about your mission. Your words made me feel calmer instantly. I’ve battled anxiety and depression my entire life, but I think we all can benefit from advice like that!

    Take care,

    • Thank you! Glad I found you’re blog…I know I haven’t used this outlet to talk about it, but my first and probably still my biggest obsession is baseball. I too struggle from anxiety, and it can be crippling! I used to call myself a “gregarious introvert”. but now I recognize that I am really an extrovert who suffers from social anxiety. Oh well.

      Pitchers and catchers report next week!!!

  8. Hello! Thank you for following! Great blog you have, may God bless you!

  11. HELLO … what on earth. … this is a weird little trip 23 comments lower …

    THANKS for nominating me for Versatile Blog Award. Sorry i said all that stuff about not accepting. That seems rude. Plus, you seem to be raking in the awards … just keep passing my way. Right?

    • Hahaha I really don’t care if anyone accepted it! Some people absolutely love the awards. I’ve only been doing this for a month now, so I really don’t know enough to feel strongly one way or another…but I know it can make my incredibly simple blog look a little more authoritative to passers-by….or something like that πŸ™‚

      You deserve it either way though!!! More than little ole me…

    If you’re in doubt, ask fellow bloggers where you can go for
